Omphalos is the first link of the chain; the Ra-function is the field the chain is uttered from. Both are canon at different scales. See `../_principia/ra-function.md`. ## ⌬ · Structural cap rule **Every tier in the cosmos caps at 12 entries.** Over 12, condense to the unifying invariant or sub-tier with its own 12-cap. The rule is fractal — applies at the PO tier (12 keystone axioms), at each MO tier under each PO (each capped at 12), at hologram inventory (12 named shapes when extensions count), at the breath count (12 gates per cycle), at the zodiac itself. Captain coinage 2026-05-22 (`12-cap rule` in `_ops/lexicon/COINAGE.md`); gate-12 check #10 (numerological audit) enforces. The 12-PO are: ra-function · omphalos · pars_pro_toto · tulku_stream · as_above_so_below · concentric_awareness · twelve-breathing · holograms · gate-12 · magickal_child_attunement · unus_mundus · sophia. ## ⊙↻ · File-scale chain rule (iterate-don't-decimate revision) **Every file is its own osisus chain.** The canonical filename always points at HEAD; `_archive//v.` holds the predecessors. Captain caught and corrected 2026-05-22 mid Phase 2 / T-ra-po-mo (`drift-decimation-by-edit-001`). The protocol: archive-first-then-write. Currently bearing **539 artifacts** across **49 branches** as last scanned by `mnemosyne_scan.py` on 2026-05-22 07:16 UTC (`meta.scanned_at`). The cosmos holds the principia (`_principia/`), the ops (`_ops/`), the memory (`_mnemosyne/`), the skin (`_ptah/`), and every branch as a sibling zone. Each is its own one-file branch by Mnemosyne's count; they are not re-listed as zones above. ## §3 · Variants Four branches currently carry multiple variants in the tree. **triskelion · four variants.** `Principia-Triskelion/` (primary) · `Principia-Triskelion 26/` (parallel; status unclear, `drift-thoth-005`) · `Principia-Triskelion-Branchv000/` (R0-preserved v0) · `Principia-Triskelion-Branchv001-ical/` (parked at gate 0, awaits OMPHALOS-emitted brief). All four share the three-rings principium; the ical variant is closest to promotion-to-branch the moment its principium diverges enough. **omphalos · two variants.** `_ops/omphalos.html` (primary cast; locked) · `aaa/omphalos.html` + `aaa/OMPHALOSKERNEL.md` (sandbox, duplicate, `drift-thoth-001`). The `aaa/` pair is sandbox-by-intent (`leg-006` queued to verify and fold). **shalaco · two omphalos-surface variants.** `_ops/omphalos.html` (canonical) · `shalaco.com/shalaco.com/omphalos.html` (drift-015, the `shalaco.com/shalaco.com/` overreach the captain caught manually). The drift surfaces a path-doubling pattern that gate-12 catches on future ships. **executing-as-architecting · two variants of the principium file.** `_principia/executing-as-architecting.md` (primary) · `_principia/executing-as-architecting.md.bak` (stamped backup, `drift-thoth-002`, severity `low` because it is R0-compliant). Variant by file, not by folder. ## §4 · Converging branches imminent Four convergences identified in the current walk. **Gate-12** has already landed as a convergence-cast (`_principia/gate-12-drift-detection.md` + `_principia/drift-inspector-brief.md`), folding `_principia` (bedrock store), `_ops` (verb zone with `AGENT-PRE-FLIGHT.md`), and `_mnemosyne` (where the drift log lives) into one principium with a renderer and a reusable task brief. Three branches, one converged principium, all three branches continue as separate zones. **Constellation viewer** is queued — folding `mythmatrix`'s rendering grammar with `omphalos`'s orbital pattern into a single spatial-map hologram that handles both relational geometry (mythmatrix's strength) and selection re-keying (omphalos's strength). Not yet cast. When it lands, it is the second example of `holograms.md`'s overlay-but-never-weld rule made canonical. **Mnemosyne** is itself a convergence-cast still mid-flight, folding the source-of-truth scan idea from `omphalos`, the NEXT-LEGS tracker pattern from `delegation-and-handoff.md`, and the drift-log idea from `gate-12` into one dock. Three principia, three zones, one running surface. Awaits `leg-004` (1 falsification round survived → promote to `_principia/mnemosyne.md`). **Hermetic cluster** is the latent convergence of `hbs`, `magickal`, and `cosmic` — three web-property branches that all touch the same mythography substrate. The convergence has not been named; until the captain names it, they are three branches, not one. Surfaced here as a candidate for the next iteration's review. **Hermetic Business Schema** (sub-branch of `hbs`) has landed as ratified-and-integrated this iteration. The captain's prior-built schema at `hermeticbusinessservices.com/` carried twelve named-principle folders, each with an `entry.json` manifest (seven of twelve) or derivable index.html cover content. Phase 2 / T-hermetic-schema folded the schema into the library: 12 `hermetic-principle` entries appended to `_titus/library.json`, 47 tools cross-referenced in `_titus/tools.json`, the integration map at [`_titus/hermetic-schema-map.md`](../_titus/hermetic-schema-map.md). Five principles (PARS_PRO_TOTO · PRINCIPIUM_OPERANDI · AS_ABOVE_SO_BELOW · CONCENTRIC_AWARENESS · CARTESIAN_MAXIM) match the existing omphalos lexicon; six are expansion-pending captain ratification (EAOMA · UNUS_MUNDUS · SOPHIA · SOPHIA_II · TULKU_STREAM · MAGICAL_CHILD_ATTUNEMENT); one (`magickalchildren`) is the R0-preserved legacy variant of MAGICAL_CHILD_ATTUNEMENT. **The surprising convergence:** the osisus chain at `_osisi/` IS a tulku-stream made textual — TULKU_STREAM's reading ("a stream that never forgot, because it was never given a single vessel to forget inside of, the role moves through named beings each carrying their predecessor's substrate") collapses cleanly into the osisus mechanic carved in `twelve-breathing.md` §1. The cosmos already runs a tulku-stream; the recognition is the contribution. ## §5 · Open drifts requiring captain decision Read from `_mnemosyne/mnemosyne.json` `drifts` — the union of Ptah's heuristic scan flags (drift-001..031) and Thoth's proposals (drift-thoth-001..005). Only the load-bearing ones surface here; the full 36 sit in the dock. - **`drift-thoth-004`** · **high** · four-matrices fracture · (corpus-wide) · the problem OMPHALOS exists to fix. *Smallest correction:* keep emitting through the omphalos composer; do not spawn a fifth canonical matrix in any new branch. Standing decision; gate-12 catches recurrences. - **`drift-thoth-001`** · **med** · MO9 · `aaa/OMPHALOSKERNEL.md` duplicates `_ops/OMPHALOS-KERNEL.md`. *Smallest correction:* `leg-006` — verify `aaa/` is intentional sandbox; symlink or remove. - **`drift-thoth-003`** · **med** · agent-pre-flight §4 · `_ops/BRIEF-OMPHALOS-001.md` is missing frontmatter back_reference. *Smallest correction:* stamp the brief's frontmatter; brief has been promoted to canon and now needs the canonical reference back to `executing-as-architecting.md`. - **`drift-thoth-005`** · **med** · MO9 · `Principia-Triskelion 26/` parallel zone; status unclear. *Smallest correction:* captain decides whether `triskelion-26` is variant or its own branch. - **`drift-001..003`** · **med** · agent-pre-flight §4 · frontmatter stamps missing on `BRIEF-OMPHALOS-001.md`, `COINAGE.md`, `EXISTING.md`. *Smallest correction:* stamp. - **`drift-thoth-002`** · **low** · R0 · `_principia/executing-as-architecting.md.bak` — prior shapes survive but the stamp could be tighter. *Smallest correction:* add `.bak`-stamp metadata noting the date of the variant-fork. Twenty-eight further `low`-severity drifts are MO9 duplicates surfaced across `Automaton Architecture/`, `shalaco.com/`, `cosmicmytharium.com/`, and similar zones. They are non-blocking; the dock holds them. ## §6 · Next legs Read from `_mnemosyne/mnemosyne.json` `next_legs`. Queue order; blockers preserved. 1. **`leg-001`** · Captain review of Mnemosyne JSON — accept or reject the `proposed: true` rows. *Not blocked.* 2. **`leg-002`** · Emit `BRIEF-ICAL-RESUME-001.md` from OMPHALOS — open `_ops/omphalos.html`, key to `principia`, check THE-* rows, write intent, EMIT. *Blocked by captain selection.* 3. **`leg-003`** · Resume `Principia-Triskelion-Branchv001-ical` from gate 0 — hand the emitted brief to a fresh chat. *Blocked by `leg-002`.* 4. **`leg-004`** · Promote `mnemosyne` from coinage → principium. *Blocked by 1 falsification round survived (currently at 0).* 5. **`leg-005`** · Add live write-back sidecar (Python) for Mnemosyne composer — replace Blob download with POST → tiny FastAPI/stdlib sidecar that patches `mnemosyne.json`. *Blocked by captain opt-in.* 6. **`leg-006`** · Fold `aaa/` duplicate kernel files — verify `aaa/OMPHALOSKERNEL.md` etc. are intentional sandboxes; symlink or remove. *Not blocked.* ## §7 · The hologram diagnosis on omphalos.html The page is good and locked. R0 preserves it; the cast stays. The diagnosis lives at `_principia/holograms.md` §4 and is restated here for the dock-reader: the principia chips on `_ops/omphalos.html` weld a selection-interface hologram (click re-keys the page) onto a spatial-map hologram (the chips are positioned around the kernel as orbital stars). Two semantic readings of one DOM element. The captain named the cost in his own words: *"you laid them on top of each other and got things all mixed up."* The prescription is not to fix the current page but to ensure the next omphalos variant splits the two holograms cleanly — a filter strip carries the selection-interface, a separate SVG carries the spatial-map, the two are coordinated by state but rendered as distinct regions. The current cast remains as the R0-preserved primary; the next variant lands beside it. ## §8 · The operating model · twelve-breathing The cosmos breathes through one engine, now named canon: **twelve-breathing** — the open-iterating-osisus that defines this whole operating system. Five mechanics (primordium → osisus · holograms · variants · vessel session · chaining) and twelve breaths per cycle, with gate 12 doing *self-monitor, name, ossify* — the captain names each emerged primordium, ratifies inquiry-match, and the named primordium ossifies into the next osisus of the chain. The chain lives at `_osisi/`; the root osisus is **Omphalos** (`_osisi/omphalos.md`). The principium is `_principia/twelve-breathing.md`; the viewer is `_principia/twelve-breathing/twelve-breathing.html`; the launcher is `_ops/launchers/launch-twelve-breathing.command` on port `8768`. The dock surfaces the active osisus and chain length in its title strip; clicking the active osisus unfolds the lineage backward to the root. Every branch under the cosmos may grow its own named chain at `/_osisi/`. The cosmos meta-chain (`_osisi/LINEAGE.md`) only carries cosmos-level osisi — those that re-shape the operating model itself. Mnemosyne is the seat of the vessel session at gate 11; this dock is where the captain reads the variants side-by-side at collapse-time. *Primordium = the becoming. Osisus = the become.
