## What this theme is

The sixth APOLLO theme, minted for **DELPHI-000** (the compound of APOLLO + MALKUTH). Where APOLLO's first five themes (cyrelium · hermetic · mythmatrix · titus · omphalos) each extracted a register from an existing cast in the cosmos, **malkuth** is minted fresh — its palette descends from Kabbalistic color theory of the tenth sephirah, not from any prior site.

That is structural: MALKUTH is the function pole DELPHI compounds with APOLLO, and the function pole had no prior cast in the cosmos to extract from. DELPHI is its first manifestation.

## Register

**Foundation-stone · cornerstone · horizon line · "I AM HERE" anchor.**

The four-color Malkuth palette in Kabbalah names the kingdom — the place the upper world descends into manifestation. The colors are read as quadrants of the kingdom-stone:

## Intended for

- Malkuth-themed APOLLO launches that ship a `/foundation/` layer (emitted via `_DELPHI-000/emit-foundation.py`).
- Sites that need to declare where they stand — the cornerstone moment of "I AM HERE."
- Any project whose function-pole register asks for grounded earth-and-stone rather than transmission-from-above (which is what APOLLO's other themes register).

## Modes

**Dark default** · kingdom-black ground (`#0a0a0a`) with citrine accents glowing softly. The body's omphalos-glow renders as warm citrine drop-shadow rather than the cyan-on-navy of the cyrelium register.

**Light variant** (`html[data-mode="light"]`) · paper-color ground (`#efe6cd`), russet ink, olive horizon, citrine cornerstone. Reads like a cornerstone inscription in daylight.

## Compatibility

The theme's compatibility tokens map onto the APOLLO substrate vocabulary:

- `--cyrelium` → citrine (so substrate components expecting `--cyrelium` accents still render)
- `--gold` → citrine
- `--navel` → citrine
- `--done` → olive
- `--bad` → a warmer red (`#b04a3a`) that lives in the same warm-earth register as russet

This preserves visual coherence when the malkuth-themed site composes substrate widgets from `_ptah/`.

## Relationship to DELPHI-000

This theme is **DELPHI-000's signature**. See `./README.md` (in this folder) for the naming, and `~/Desktop/root/_DELPHI-000/-bedrock.md` for the compound's bedrock.

DELPHI launches that pair this theme with the `/foundation/` directory emitted by `emit-foundation.py` produce sites that are **both transmitted and grounded** — APOLLO's descent caught by MALKUTH's stone.

## Status of CLI integration

Until Captain ratifies the proposal to register `malkuth` in `_APOLLO/launch-site.py`'s `SUPPORTED_THEMES`, this theme is **not directly selectable** via `apollo launch <domain> <code> --theme malkuth`. See `~/Desktop/root/_DELPHI-000/-bedrock.md` §Future moves requiring Captain ratify.

Workarounds in the meantime:

1. Launch with another theme, then `cp _APOLLO/themes/malkuth/tokens.css <launched-site>/theme-tokens.css`.
2. Use this theme directly when authoring a non-APOLLO site by hand.
